History

Stout Risius Ross, Inc. was founded in 1991. In 1997, SRR expanded into investment banking, creating what would become its Investment Banking Group. With the addition of Glenn Sheets in 1998, SRR began its Dispute Advisory & Forensic Services Group.

In 1999, SRR’s Restructuring Group started. The firm opened offices in Cleveland and Chicago in 2000 and 2001 and had a total of 100 employees.

The E-Discovery practice was formed in 2009, and in 2011 SRR opened its Los Angeles office.

The Washington, DC office opened in 2013. In the same year, SRR formed global alliances that led to the creation of SRR-Asia, SRR-Europe, and SRR-South America.
