STARCO in early days a Danish family run tire business. Company was established in Aarhus, Denmark in 1962. It was owned and operated by Ejlersgaard family. The name, STARCO, is an acronym of "Scandinavian Tyre And Rim Company".

Now company is headquartered in Galten, Denmark. STARCO is a global group of companies with sales, distribution, engineering and wheel-manufacturing operations in more than 30 locations worldwide. The company manufactures solid, dual and flex tires, steel wheels and plastic rims.[1]
