St Benedict's Church, Bordesley is a Grade II listed parish church in the Church of England[1] in Birmingham.
History
The church was built in the Byzantine Revival style in 1909 by Nicol and Nicol of Birmingham.[2] It replaced a temporary iron structure, established as a mission church of nearby St. Oswald's Church in 1898, and was consecrated on 30 April 1910.[3]
The east end is enriched by the Byzantine-style painting of the apse by Henry Holiday and depicts Christ in Glory with angels, and saints in arcading, below.[2] The painting was executed between 1912 and 1919.[2]
A statue of Saint Benedict, to whom the church is dedicated, stands over the north entrance.[2]
The church was given Grade II listed status in July 1982, protecting it from unauthorised alteration or demolition.[2]
The church's archives were deposited with Birmingham Central Library in February 1998 and are now in its successor, the Library of Birmingham.[3]

Vicarage
The adjacent vicarage, built in 1911-1912 to designs by Nicol and Nicol, was given Grade II listed status in 1997.[5]
