It was established in 1988 by founding editors Yeager Hudson and Creighton Peden. Each volume contains papers originally presented at the International Social Philosophy Conference, an annual event sponsored by the North American Society for Social Philosophy. The conference provides a forum for in depth discussion of contemporary social issues. Each volume reflects the subjects discussed at the conference. The series is published by the Philosophy Documentation Center.[1]
