Small Drum Corps Association (SDCA), was founded in 2007 by Chris Ferrara, an alumnus of the Chicago Royal Airs and Bugler's Hall of Fame inductee.[1] SDCA provides a friendly competitive venue for smaller drum corps many who are community based, parade only, or competitive in Drum Corps International or Drum Corps Associates. Typically held in conjunction with a community event,[2] hosted SDCA shows emphasize crowd engagement, entertainment value, and friendship by often featuring crowd judging, massed horn selections, and large audiences.
