Sir William Owen, 4th Baronet

Sir William Owen, 4th Baronet (?1697-1781), of Orielton, Pembrokeshire, Wales, was a Welsh politician.[1]

He was born the eldest son of Sir Arthur Owen, 3rd Baronet and was educated at New College, Oxford. He succeeded his father in 1753.

He was a Member (MP) for Pembroke Boroughs from 13 November 1722 to 1747 and from 1761 to 1774 and for Pembrokeshire from 1747 to 1761. He was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Pembrokeshire from 1761 to 1778.

He married twice and had 2 sons and 3 daughters. The baronetcy passed to his son Hugh.
