Sione Lātūkefu

Reverend Dr.^[1] Sione Lātūkefu (born ?, died June 2, 1995^[2]) was a Tongan historian.

Lātūkefu obtained the degree of Bachelor of Education at the University of Queensland in 1962.^[3] He later obtained a doctorate.^[4]

He was the first professional historian in Tonga, and, in 1989, founded the Tongan History Association to encourage studies of Tongan history.^[5] He was also "instrumental" in establishing the Tonga Research Society.^[6]
