Sinemia is a subscription-based movie going service across Turkey. Service is based on location technologies and banking infrastructure. Sinemia, gives its members the ability to see any film (2D, 3D, IMAX and 4DX included) everyday for a fixed monthly fee. Members may choose which theaters they wish to visit and there are no blackout dates. Members can see any film more than once.[1] Sinemia works in nearly all movie theaters that accept the MasterCard credit card. Prices start at 55TL per month.[2]

Sinemia was launched in January 2015.[3][4] They are aiming 20 countries until the end of the 2016.[5]

Service

Sinemia works via a smartphone app (iPhone, Android and Windows Phone) and a specially designed, reloadable debit card (MasterCard infrastructure), which is mailed to new subscribers when they sign up.[6]

In order to purchase a ticket, members must be within 150 meters of the chosen theater. They check-in to the theater via the Sinemia smartphone app and select their preferred movie. Once they check-in, their debit card is automatically loaded with the exact price of a single ticket for that particular theater.
