Sind Sagar Doab

The Sind Sagar Doab is the tract of land lying between the Indus River and the Jhelum River.[1] It is one of the main regions of the Punjab, which historically has been divided into the sections between its six main rivers. It includes the districts Shahpur, Dera Ismail Khan, Chakwal, Jhelum, Bannu, Muzaffar Garh, Jhang, Gujrat and Hazara. The Pothohar Plateau, Thal Desert and the Salt Range are also located in the Sind Sagar Doab. The main cities are Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Doabi is the main dialect of Punjabi.
