Shaun Micallef's Mad as Hell is an Australian comedy news television program hosted by Shaun Micallef. The show first aired on ABC at 8:00 pm on Friday, 25 May 2012.[2] Other members of the cast include Francis Greenslade, Roz Hammond, Veronica Milsom (Seasons 1 - 4), Tosh Greenslade (not related to Francis),[3] Emily Taheny, Stephen Hall and Nicholas Bell (Season 6).[2][4] Its title is a reference to the 1976 American satirical black comedy-drama film Network.

The program was commissioned without a pilot and the first season of 10 episodes originally screened from May to July 2012.[5] The show was renewed for a second series of 12 episodes which aired in 2013.[6] A third was announced in January 2014 and consisted of 10 episodes, shown weekly from 12 February 2014.[4][7][8] A fourth series premiered soon after on 24 September 2014 and the fifth series premiered on 11 February 2015.[9] The ABC confirmed that Mad as Hell would return for 2016, at the conclusion of The Weekly with Charlie Pickering[10] and debuted its sixth season on 11 May 2016.[11]
