Mohd Shahrul Bin Mohd Saad (born 5 June 1987) is a Malaysian footballer who plays for Perak FA as a defender.

Career

Shahrizal started his career at Perak FA and he also played for the Perak President Cup team at the youth level.

He was then transferred to Malaysia national youth setup and has played for Harimau Muda B in the Malaysia league and Harimau Muda A in the Singapore league.

In 2015, he graduated from the national youth setup and was signed by Felda United. Here, he was converted from defender to defensive midfilder by coach Irfan Bakti Abu Salim.[1]

He returned to Perak FA in 2016.

National team

He has played for the Malaysia national football team, making his debut in late 2015 by national coach Ong Kim Swee.[2][3]

Personal life

Shahrul has two older brother who also have played professional football: Shahrizal Saad and Syamsul Saad. Like him, both brothers have played for Perak FA and also played for the national team.

Shahrul even played under Syamsul when his brother was the head coach of Perak in 2016.[4]
