Shaheen Bagh
Shaheen Bagh is a neighbourhood in the South Delhi District of Delhi, India. It is the southernmost colony of the Okhla (Jamia Nagar) area, situated along the banks of the Yamuna.
Economy
The economy of the area is diverse. Apart from a wholesale market, property sales, other places of interest in and around the area include NSIC, Meera Bai Polytechnic, New Friends Colony, Maharani Bagh, Holy Family Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Escort and Fortis Hospitals, Lotus Temple, Okhla Railway Station, Crowne Plaza Hotel and Nehru Place.
Shaheen Bagh has showrooms including Woodland, FYDA Lifestyle, Adidas, PUMA, FILA, Louis Philippe, Red Tape, Levis, Lee Cooper, Bata, Cobb Italy, U.S. Polo Assn., Park Avenue and Reebok. It hosts travel agencies, consultancies and social service NGOs.
This area has good connectivity to nearby commercial and official areas such as NOIDA (New Okhla Industrial Development Authority), Nehru Place, Sarita Vihar, Jasola, Okhla Industrial Area and Okhla Railway Station. It also have good connectivity and short distance to universities like Jamia Millia Islamia and Jamia Hamdard.
A number of non-vegetarian restaurants are also present in the colony such as Royal Chicken, Zooby's, Al Bake, Al Nazeer, Mughlai Cuisine and Karim's.

Area also has renowned Homeopathy Chronic disease specialist Dr. A.M. Hadi. The area has large number of dispensaries and Pharmacies.

A number of Primary Schools are present in Shaheen Bagh including Hamdard Public School. E4U Academy a Professional & Technical Institute of Piping & Structure Design in Oil & Gas Sector .
A senior secondary school named Shaheen Public School is located in F block.
the institute of mathematics named Sayeed Education Centre is located in F block.
Infrastructure
A metro train network is also proposed by 2016 to Kalindi Kunj. A metro train station is present in Sarita Vihar, 1 or 2 km from Shaheen Bagh.
Political Personality
Ms. Ishrat Begum is nominated MCD Councillors from Shaheen Bagh Ward No. 206 of Samajwadi Party.[1]
Mr. Amanatullah Khan is nominated MLA of AAP from this area.
