Shab Deg

Shabdeg or Shab daig (Urdu: شب دیگ ) is a South Asian dish mainly cooked in the Punjab and Kashmir regions of India and Pakistan. It is cooked with Turnip and the meat version includes lamb, beef or chicken. This dish is believed to have originated from Kashmir.[1][2][3] "Shab" means night and "daigh" means cooking pot in Urdu language. This dish was left to simmer during the night.
