Sepolia is a neighborhood north of the centre of Athens, Greece. The Sepolia metro station is situated in the neighborhood. Sepolia owes to its name in the Greek word exopolia that means outside the city.[1] Sepolia was a remote settlement until the late of 19th century, few kilometres away from Athens. The Greek census of that period didn't comprise Sepolia to Athens. The census of 1879, for example, refers a population of 278 inhabitants[2] The next years, Sepolia joined to Athens agglomeration as a result of population explosion of Athens.
