Skip Day (also called Ditch Day or Cut Day) is a tradition in many American and Canadian schools where the majority of the class skip school around May 4, often to spend the day at an amusement park or a resort.

The most frequently chosen day is either the day before prom or the following Monday. Other days popular for students to ditch include the day after Halloween, the day before election day, the day after the Super Bowl, Cinco de Mayo, April 20, and the day before or after Spring Break.
