Scarlett Cherry

Scarlett Cherry is an independent singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. She rose to prominence as a performer in The Zodiac Show, produced by her husband, Lee Cherry.

Early life

Born Caryn Elizabeth Kaplan, Scarlett was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina.[1]

Career

Along with her husband and Carmit Bachar, Scarlett co-created and starred in The Zodiac Show. Scarlett serves as producer, style supervisor and performer.[2] In 2006, alongside Alisan Porter, Adam Lambert, and Val Kilmer, Scarlett starred in the musical production The Ten Commandments.

2010-2011, Love You Like, Labor Of Love and parenthood

On February 14, 2010, Scarlett's debut extended play Love You Like was released to digital retailers ITunes, Amazon mp3, and lala.com.[3] The music video for Friend, written by Josh Greene, was uploaded on January 5, 2010, and includes photos of Scarlett's real life friends and a cameo by Carmit Bachar. Via kickstarter, Scarlett was able to independently release her full-length album Labor Of Love. Every song was recorded during her pregnancy with her first son, whom she named Riff. Riff was born January 29, 2011, sharing a birthday with Adam Lambert and Oprah. Riff's god parents are American Idol alum Adam Lambert and child actress Alisan Porter. The song Angel was also used in an episode of Dance Moms for a contestant's dance.[4]
