Sawsiqucha or Sawsi Qucha (Quechua sawsi willow, qucha lake,[1][2] "willow lake", hispanicized spellings and names Sauce, Saucecocha, Sauce Cocha), also locally known as Laguna Azul (English for "blue lake"), is a lake in Peru. Sawsiqucha is a lentiscus-type body of water of tectonic subsidence with an area of 430.80 hectares. The town Sauce is located on the edge of the lake. It is surrounded by pastures, resorts, and the Ministry of Fisheries' Centro Piscícola Sauce (English:Sawsi Fish Center).[3]
