Sandalbar

Sandalbar is a region in Pakistan. The vast tract from Shahdara to Shorkot, Sangla Hill to Toba Tek Singh, is traditionally called Sandalbar. Faisalabad was once part of ancient district Jhang and Sandalbar, a 50-square-kilometre (19 sq mi) part mainly consisting of thick forests and wild tribes. It has been a land of freedom fighters and great lovers - famous among Sikhs and other faiths. The great freedom fighters, such as Bhagat Singh - came from Bange village, nine kilometres from Jaranwala. The legendary love hero, Mirza Jutt, was born in Moza Danabad, seven kilometres from Jaranwala. Also DULLA BHATTI the legendary rebel associated with the festival of lohri was the ruler of Pindi Bhattian in this region.

This area is known for Jhumar, a lively form of music and dance that originated in the Punjab and Balochistan regions in Pakistan. also one of the British officer came to see Jhumar after watching that dance he named that placed Jhumara means Dancing and from that day this placed called Chak Jhumra. chak means small town and jhumra means dancing.
