San Bernardino Symphony

Founded in 1929 by Maestro James K. Guthrie, the San Bernardino Symphony is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious in the region. The historic California Theater is the site for the five-concert season, under the baton of music director and conductor Maestro Frank Fetta.[1]

The stated mission of the symphony is to make symphonic music readily accessible to the diverse populations of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, which it fulfills through free performances, educational programs, and maintenance of the Guthrie Music Library, an extensive music library regularly utilized by many educational entities.[2]
