Samuel Brent Oscar Riegel also known as Sam Regal or Jack Lingo (born October 9, 1976) is an American voice actor, writer and director who appears in cartoons, anime and video game series. He is the best known as the voice of Phoenix Wright[2][3] in the internationally acclaimed Ace Attorney video game/anime series, Shiro Emiya from the Fate series, Taniguchi from the Haruhi series, and Mephisto Pheles from the Blue Exorcist series.

Career

September 11, 2001 experience

On September 11, 2001, Sam and his wife Quyen witnessed the attacks on the World Trade Center. At one point, the couple was caught in the dust cloud formed by the collapse of the South Tower, but eventually escaped to Battery Park, where they witnessed the collapse of the North Tower in silence. Sam captured video footage that was featured in several documentaries.[1]

Personal life

Sam has two sisters: Eden, also an actor; and Tatiana, whom is a filmmaker. Sam's wife, Quyen, is a cinematographer.
