Sam "Sammy" Arnold (born 8 April 1996 in Surrey, England) is an English-born, Irish rugby union player for Munster in the Pro12. He plays as a Centre.

Ulster

Arnold made his debut against Newport Gwent Dragons as an eighteen year old. As a result, Arnold is one of the youngest ever players to represent the northern province.[1]

Arnold made his European debut against oyonnax in January 2016 aged 19. However, his debut ended early after he suffered a hamstring injury early on in the match; an injury which limited him to only 2 further appearances that season.

Munster

On 4 February 2016, it was announced that Arnold would be joining Ulster's provincial rivals, Munster, at the beginning of the 2016–17 season.[2] Weeks after joining Munster, Arnold damaged ligaments in his knee, which ruled him out of the opening period of the 2016–17 season.[3] On 26 November 2016, Arnold made his competitive debut for Munster, starting alongside Jaco Taute in the 2016–17 Pro12 fixture against Treviso at Thomond Park.[4]
