Saint Egwad

Saint Egwad was a 7th-century[1] catholic Bishop[2] and Saint of Wales.

He built a church at Ystrad Tywi.[3] He is the Patron Saint of Llan gward Wales,[4] and in the Middle Ages there was a festival at this town, in his honour. He is also commemorated in the church at Llanfynydd, Carmarthenshire.[5] and St Egwad's Church[6][7]
