Sahapedia is an English language free encyclopedia project of India's cultural heritage launched by Sudha Gopalakrishnan in 2016.[1][2] Niharika Gupta, content director with the project, informs: "It's a participatory exercise. People will be submitting content, which will be vetted by experts. We have tapped university professors, documentary filmmakers, authors and writers for this purpose. We are also collaborating with various government organizations. For example, the Archaeological Survey of India has shared some of its archival material with us."[3]

Sahapedia, the online portal, is a collection of resources on the diverse heritage of India. It is non-profit society, led by former TCS chairman Subramaniam Ramadora, who is the head of the National Skill Development Agency. It is India's first online portal on cultural heritage.[4]
