SM Southmall or SM Southmall Las Piñas is a large shopping mall owned and operated by SM Prime Holdings. The mall is located along the busy Alabang-Zapote Road in Las Piñas. The mall opened in 1995, and is the first SM Supermall in southern region of Metro Manila, the 5th SM Supermall ever built by Chinese-Filipino businessman, Henry Sy, Sr. and the 5th largest shopping mall in the Philippines. The mall still remains as the largest shopping mall in the south Metro Manila area in terms of its size which is 200,000 m2 (2,200,000 sq ft) of land area, a total floor area of 205,120 m2 (2,207,900 sq ft),and a gross built-up area of 189,676.71 m2.[1]

Mall Features

Being the largest mall in the south metro Manila, SM Southmall has over 400 shops and services available. One of the highly known features of the mall is its two atriums, one is the center atrium and the other is the south atrium. The center atrium hosts the major events like large concerts and presentation events, this part of the mall was once a large indoor fountain. The mall features 6 anchors. Meanwhile, at the back is the location of the newly refurbished food street which had some additions like the outdoor dining, lush greenery of grown plants which give the food street an airy feeling to the shopper and diners while walking through the Foodstreet and the LED lightened fountain which completes the airy feel of nature in the foodstreet.[1]

South Residences at SM Southmall

The South Residences at SM Southmall is a condominium with 4 towers sprawling 15 stories each which is located at the south parking area near the Pilar Village gate entrance.[2]
