Sekolah Menengah Sains Bagan Datoh, SABDA (English: Bagan Datoh Science Secondary School)is one of the fully residential school also known as Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP) and it is one of the Sekolah Menengah Sains(SMS) or Science Secondary School group of school based in Malaysia. SABDA also was awarded Cluster School of Excellence title in Culture and Bahasa Melayu by the Ministry of Education (Malaysia). The school is located at Bagan Datoh, Perak which is about 58 km from the city of Teluk Intan.[1] The school started operating on 12 May 2009.The first Principal is Tuan Haji Mohd Ardani Yunus.. Slogan for this school is SABDA "UNGGUL TERBILANG"or " GLORIOUS SUPERIOR" SABDA

History

SMS Bagan Datoh (SABDA) was built in 2007 on a land area of 25.8 acres in Lot 6026, Bagan Datoh, Bagan Datok District. The actual area of the school is 50 acres, but some 24.2 acres of land was still undeveloped.

On 27 February 2009, the process of submitting site by the contractor responsible, CMS Construction (M) Sdn. Ltd. to the Ministry of Education Malaysia done. SABDA became fully operational with the entry of a caretaker of the Senior Assistant of Sekolah Menengah Sains Teluk Intan (SEMESTI), Mr. Madden Osman on March 8, 2009. The first principal of this school is Tuan Haji Mohd Ardani bin Haji Mohd Yunus.

The school was officially opened on May 12, 2009 to accept students from Form 1 and Form 4.

The doors have been opened on July 8, 2010 and presented by the 34th Sultan of Perak, His Royal Highness the Sultan and the Ruler of Perak, Almarhum Sultan Azlan Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Yussuf Izzuddin Shah Ghafarullahu (D.K., D.K.M., D.M.N.)
