São Sebastião (Portuguese for Saint Sebastian) is a parish in the municipality of Ponta Delgada in the Azores. The population in 2011 was 3,953,[1] in an area of 3.34 km².[2] The parish is part of the downtown area of Ponta Delgada. Until June 30, 2003, the parish was known as Matriz (Ponta Delgada).
