Shaolin "Sándor" Liu[1] (born 20 November 1995) is a Hungarian short track speed skater. Born to a Chinese father and Hungarian mother, he started the sport in 2006 and trained in China for a year.[2] He represented Hungary at the 2014 Winter Olympics.[3] Shaolin has won multiple medals at the World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships.[4] He placed third in overall at 2016 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships.[5]

Personal life

Liu's younger brother Shaoang Liu is also short track speed skater (was second in 1500m, third in 500m and fifth in overall at 2016 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships). He has been in a relationship with Scottish short-track speed skater Elise Christie since October 2015.[6]
