Ryan O’Shea is an American television host, entrepreneur, and public speaker based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is best known as a host and producer of Pittsburgh American Broadcasting Company affiliate WTAE-TV’s online lifestyle and entertainment channel, 4 the 412.[1] He is the creator and host of the futurism, science, and technology themed podcast Future Grind, and serves as the spokesman and advisor of Grindhouse Wetware, a biotechnology startup company that creates technology to augment human capabilities.[2][3][4] As a public speaker, O’Shea has spoken at conferences around the world on the topics of human enhancement and futurism, including at BodyHacking Con,[5][6][7] FITUR,[8] Future of Web Apps - Boston,[9] the Medical Entrepreneur Startup Hospital,[10] and others.

A native of New Brighton, Pennsylvania, O’Shea graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012. While at university, he served as the president of the student organization Pitt in Hollywood and wrote for The Original Magazine.[11] It was during that time that he worked on films such as The Dark Knight Rises, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Warrior, Love and Other Drugs, The Next Three Days, Jack Reacher, and more.[12][13] After graduating, O’Shea produced content with The Buried Life and worked in the Washington, D.C. offices of U.S. Representative Keith Rothfus before returning to Pittsburgh. He currently represents the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Solar System Ambassador, a program operated by the California Institute of Technology for NASA.[14]
