Ryan McFaul is an American director, editor, and visual effects specialist living in Brooklyn, New York.

Biography

Early years

McFaul began creating short films while growing up in suburban Maine. He and his friends called their production company Pig Pat Productions, named after a stuffed animal mascot.

McFaul attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied Film and Television Production and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Career

McFaul began his career as a commercial editor, and in 2003 transitioned into directing. He has directed commercial spots for the Coca-Cola Company, Sony, and numerous Broadway musicals. He directed the complete first season of Adult Swim's Fat Guy Stuck in Internet. McFaul is also a partner in the Seattle-based production company, Southdown Creative. He directed 23 episodes of the new The Electric Company revival for 2009 from Sesame Workshop, and 10 episodes of the Adult Swim's 2011 NTSF:SD:SUV::.
