Rush–Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois is a 210-bed hospital providing a comprehensive array of health and wellness services in the greater Fox Valley area. Rush-Copley is leading the way for state-of-the-art healthcare in Illinois' second largest city and its adjacent communities with dynamic centers of excellence – each designed to meet the needs of a growing and diverse population. It is named after Ira Clifton Copley, who donated over $2 million for the original hospital.
· The Cancer Care Center has been designated as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
· Rush–Copley Neuroscience Services provides specialized care to the greater Fox Valley area. Rush-Copley has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers.
· The Heart & Vascular Institute is the area's most preferred heart program and offers the latest services dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. Rush-Copley is an accredited Chest Pain Center for the care of patients with Acute Coronary from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC). Hospitals that have received SCPC accreditation have achieved a higher level of expertise in caring for patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart attack.
·Emergency Services is a designated Level II Trauma Center that services nearly 70,000 patients annually. Rush-Copley has received recognition and approval for the care of pediatric patients by the Illinois Department of Public Health as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics.
·The Family Birth Center continues to be a leader in childbirth services, offering a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and perinatal services. Rush-Copley is the first hospital in the country to receive the Gold Seal of Approval™ by the Joint Commission for Normal Delivery and Respiratory Distress Syndrome in the Preterm Infant. This recognition means mothers and infants delivering at Rush-Copley or medically fragile babies can rely on receiving the highest level of care
·The Center for Joint Reconstruction and Replacement at Rush-Copley has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ for healthcare quality from The Joint Commission. Rush-Copley was the first hospital in the Fox Valley area to receive Disease-Specific Care Certification by The Joint Commission for total joint replacement in knees/hip and one of only a handful in the state of Illinois.
