Rohit Sardana is an Indian journalist, editor, columnist, anchor and media personality. He is a commentator and debator who is seen hosting Taal Thok ke, a debate programme which discusses on the social issues, and tries to spread awareness in the society aired on Zee News.[3]

Early life and education

Sardana was born in Haryana, India. He did his secondary schooling from Geeta Niketan Avasiya Vidyalaya, Kurukshetra, Haryana. Haryana is his home state. From 1997–2000, he studied Bachelor of Arts and graduated with a degree in Psychology. From 2000–2002, he studied post graduation degree in Mass Communication from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology.

Career

From March 2002 to July 2003, he worked as a copy editor, as a trainee copy editor and learned technicalities of anchoring, copy writing, editing, production and post production. Along with learning these skills, Sardana learned about functioning of a 24 hours news channel. From 2003–2004, he worked as an assistant producer at Sahara Samay. From 2004, he is working for Zee News; he is an executive editor, anchor, news presenter and host at Zee News.[4]

Sardana formerly produced Karmakshetra, one of the first type of news shows which asked questions to the Member of Parliament and a detailed report about their work, the motive behind this programme was to present detailed report card on the work of MP's of each respective constituency before 2014 Indian general elections. He formerly worked with ETV Network, All India Radio and Sahara Samay.[5]
