Robert Wheatley (born 17 January 1962) is a former Australian football player. He went on to make 9 appearances (5 'A' matches) for the Socceroos between 1981 and 1990.[1]

He has 3 boys, Nick, George, and Charlie they all play soccer themselves, and are very talented. His wife Joanne Wheatly works at Abbotsleigh School at the aquatic centre at Wahroonga. The family lives at Roseville. Rob holds regular soccer holiday camps and teaches lots of children skills and drills. From 2000–2002, Rob was a coach at Mosman Football Club [2] Rob was a fantastic player and still is. He also holds the camps at Wahroonga Football Club where he played as a child to develop his skills.

During 1986–1989, Robert Wheatley was a PE teacher at Arthur Phillip High School.

Wheatley was educated at Normanhurst Boys' High School in the north-western suburbs of Sydney.[3]
