Bob East

Robert East, who is also known as Bob East, is an Australian academic and author, specializing in insurgency and counterinsurgency in the southern Philippines, a region he has travelled to on a number of occasions.

Dr East is a member of The Australian Greens, commonly known as The Greens : an Australian green political party. Other than environmentalism the party cites four core values: ecological sustainability, social justice, grassroots democracy and peace and non-violence.^[3]

Background

Bob is married and lives on a rural property near Stanthorpe in south east Queensland with his wife Maria East.^[7] He was previously widowed and has three adult children.^[8]
