River Irwell Railway Bridge
The River Irwell Railway Bridge, is a stone railway bridge of 1830 by George Stephenson near Water Street in Manchester, England.[1] It forms part of Liverpool Road railway station, the world's first passenger railway line.[2] The bridge was designated a Grade I listed building on 20 June 1988.[2]
The bridge is constructed as "two segmental arches on a slightly skewed plan".[1] Its span measures 66 feet (20 m).[3]
