Richard Dalby

Richard Dalby (born 1949[1]) is an editor and literary researcher. His anthologies in the 1980s and 1990s unearthed rare supernatural tales, many of whose authors' original collections of stories have been reprinted in the last decade. He has edited over 50 anthologies and collections of ghost stories. He continues to work with publishers of supernatural fiction.

In 1993 Dalby founded the Ghost Story Press with David Tibet.[2]

Dalby was the only contributor to the Book and Magazine Collector to remain with the magazine from the first issue in March 1984 until its final issue in 2010, writing over 200 articles for the magazine, in addition to auction reviews. His specialities are supernatural fiction,[3] 19th century literature, children's books and illustrators, and detective fiction, especially Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie.
