Revelation 4 is the fourth chapter of the Book of Revelation or the Apocalypse of John in the New Testament of the Christian Bible.[1][2] The book is traditionally attributed to John the Apostle.[3][4]

- The original text is written in Koine Greek.
- Some of the oldest manuscripts containing this chapter are:
- Codex Sinaiticus (AD 330-360)
- Codex Alexandrinus (ca. AD 400-440)
- This chapter is divided into 11 verses.
Structure
This chapter can be grouped (with cross references to other parts of the Bible):
- Revelation 4:1-3 = The Throne Room of Heaven
- Revelation 4:4-11 = Twenty four elders and four living creatures
Verse 8
- The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
- “Holy, holy, holy,
- Lord God Almighty,
- Who was and is and is to come!”[5]

- Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne,[6]
