Reema Nagra (Hindi: रीमा नागरा, born in Matsqui, British Columbia) is a Canadian actress and producer. Her debut Punjabi film Work Weather Wife was the first ever Punjabi film and only Canadian film to get shortlisted at 87th Academy Awards under Best Original Song in a feature film and Best Feature Film for its songs "Moon" and "Long Braid".[2]

Early life

Her early life involved playing varsity Basketball at Capilano University and Trinity Western University. Completing a bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences, and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Simon Fraser University she moved on to working as a High School teacher and fitness instructor. Later she began training as an actor in Vancouver BC.[3]

Professional work

Nagra is known as the first female producer of Punjabi Films debuting with Work Weather Wife as an actress as well.[4] [5]
