Reem Al Hashimi

Her Excellency Reem Ebrahim Al-Hashimi (Arabic: ريم إبراهيم الهاشمي) is an Emirati Minister of State and Managing Director for the Dubai World Expo 2020 Bid Committee. She became Minister of State in the Cabinet of the United Arab Emirates in February 2008.

Reem Al-Hashimi is chair of Dubai Cares, a children's education charity established by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum in 2007. She also chairs the Emirates Competitiveness Council and the National Bureau of Statistics. She was formerly the Deputy Chief of Mission at the United Arab Emirates' embassy in Washington, DC.[1][2]

Reem Al-Hashimi earned a BA in International Relations and French from Tufts University. She received a master's degree from Harvard University.
