Raydiation is the third studio album by American recording artist Ray J. It was released by Sanctuary Records in association with the singer's own label, Knockout Entertainment, on September 20, 2005 in the United States.[2] Ray J's first effort in four year, the album was primarily produced by Detail, featuring additional production from Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, R. Kelly, Ric Rude, and Timbaland. Rapper Fat Joe, singer Mýa and Ray J's sister, singer Brandy, appear a guest vocalist on the album.

Background and production

According to Music Choice, Ray J wrote three songs to be produced by Timbaland but could only afford one.

Release and promotion

The album's release was postponed several times (from fall 2003 to March, April, June and July to September 2005 ). The first single choice varied many times, too. At certain points Ray J himself had announced "Keep Sweatin" as his new single. "Quit Actin" was in talks, too, before "One Wish" was picked.

Singles

Sales and certification

The album entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at #48, selling 21,517 copies in its first week.[3] To date Raydiation sold over 400,000 copies domestically.
