Randi Anda

Randi Anda, née Friestad (29 December 1898 – 7 May 1999) was a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party.

She served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Rogaland during the terms 19541957, 19581961, 19611965 and 19651969.[1]

She was born in Egersund. Outside politics she was known for being a missionary to China.

During the Second World War, she worked with Arne Anda in Qiqihar, Manchukuo before both were taken prisoner by the Japanese on 8 December 1941. They were incarcerated in Qiqihar concentration camp until the war's end.[2]
