The boat race in 2010
Rajiv Gandhi trophy boat race is held every year in commemoration of the visit to Kuttanadu (Pulincunnu) on 5 September 1985 by Rajiv Gandhi and his wife Sonia. Rajiv Gandhi ever rolling trophy was donated by Chief Minister of Kerala Shri. K. Karunakaran.
Central and Kerala government ministers and eminent personalities have attended, including Chief Ministers Shri. K. Karunakaran and Shri. Oomen Chandy, Shri. M.M Jacob, Governor of Mehalaya, and Union Ministers Shri. HKL Bhagath, Shri. Belram Jakhar, Shri, Sasi Tharoor, Kerala State Minister’s Smt. Shusheela Gopalan, and Shri G. Sudakaran.
