Rachel Sarah Specter (born April 9, 1980) is an American actress and writer, who is best known as the model for the RGX body spray commercials. In addition to her work in commercials, Specter has guest-starred in episodes of How I Met Your Mother, Gilmore Girls, What I Like About You, and Entourage, as well as co-hosted the April 4, 2007 episode of Attack of the Show![1] and a segment of The Feed on May 23. In September 2008, Specter began co-starring in the web series Long Distance Relationship on Crackle.[2]

Life and career

Specter was born in Tampa, Florida. Her mother, Randie, teaches at a Hillel Jewish day school, and her father, Steven C. Specter, is the associate dean for student affairs at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.[3] She graduated from the University of Florida with honors.

Specter appeared as one of the models for the Sunsilk Color Showdown ad campaign.[4] She has shot six commercials for RGX, four of which have aired.[5] She has also appeared in one of Jack Links' "Messin' with Sasquatch" commercials.[6] Her eyes are one and a half different colors; one is dark brown and the other is a mix of dark brown and gray/green.

Specter has also written episodes of Cougar Town.

Specter married comedian Dan Levy in 2010.[3] They welcomed a son, Abe, in May 2013, and daughter, Romy, in 2015.
