Rabia Salihu Sa'id (born April 21, 1963) is a Nigerian physicist and academic.
Life and career
Rabiu Sa'id was born in Wangara, a town in Gezawa local government area of Kano State, Northern Nigeria. She holds B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D certificates in Physics from Bayero University Kano; and also an M.Sc certificate in Environment and Development from the University of Reading, United Kingdom.[1] In September 1999, she got employed as a Graduate Assistant at Bayero University and rose through the ranks to become Deputy Dean at the Student Affairs Division of the university. She presently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Bayero University since 2016.[2]
Personal life
Rabia Salihu Sa'id is a mother of six.[3]
Recognitions
She is a recipient of the Elsevier Foundation Awards which she received in 2015 for her work on climate and deforestation.[4] In 2015, she was also featured in the BBC's annual 100 Women series.[5]
