RK University is a private university[1] in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. It was created by the state of Gujarat under the Private State University Act by a gazetted notification dated 12 October 2011, along with three other universities. On Rajkot-Bhavnagar Highway, in a campus of over 40 acres, RK University has been functioning as RK Group of Colleges since 2005, offering degrees in engineering, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and in management studies. It has more than 5500 students. The campus offers hostel facilities for nearly 1200 students.
It started with offering its flagship program in Management and Physiotherapy. Now it has many other academic disciplinary courses to offer such as Engineering, Pharmacy, computer science etc..

RK University offers courses in disciplines such as Management, Engineering, Diploma studies, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Science, Computer Science, etc. It has strong presence in every field of academics in the Saurashtra region.
RK University has a strength of more than 300 well qualified and experienced faculty members.

- Shiksha Bharti Puraskar has been awarded to Khodidasbhai Patel the Hon'able Chairman for the RK Group of Colleges, by all India Achievers Foundation on the occasion of national seminar on "Globalization OF Indian Industries & World Peace"

PhD Program
RK University offers admission to PhD program in fields of Science, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy, Computer Applications and Management. Post graduate candidates, after clearing required admission test, are eligible to pursue their doctoral study in RK University either full-time or externally.
Events
Galore is the annual sports and cultural festival of the university. It is normally organized in February by students and faculty. Huge number of students from other local colleges take part in the festival.
RK University celebrates its foundation day every year in October.
Apart from these two main events, RK University celebrates techno-cultural and physio-cultural events every year.
Social responsibility initiatives
RK University engages itself in fulfilling its social obligations by serving in many ways to the local community. Some of the initiatives undertaken by the university are listed below.

Scholarship
K. S. Patel Scholarship Awards is the scholarship program of RK University: 12th science students across 1100 schools of Gujarat takes part in the program every year and get the benefits.
