Rósa Guðmundsdóttir

This is an Icelandic name. The last name is a patronymic, not a family name; this person is properly referred to by the given name Rósa.

Rósa Guðmundsdóttir (1795–1855), was an Icelandic poet. She belonged to the most known poets in Iceland of her time and is the author of many well known folk songs and poems in Icelandic.[1] She is the great grandmother of the Iceland-born artist Rósa Guðmundsdóttir, who was named after her, via her father's side four generations back.
