The Pungwe Flat Lizard is a species of lizard in the Cordylidae family.

Description

Pungwe Flat Lizards females and juveniles are black with stripes on their back. Males vary by subspecies.

Pungwe Flat Lizards resemble the Common Flat Lizard, Platysaurus intermedius.

Geography

Pungwe Flat lizards live in eastern Zimbabwe and Mozambique.[1] They live in a savannah habitat.

Habits

Pungwe Flat Lizards eat ants and beetles. They live on rock outcrops.

Subspecies

Two subspecies of the Pungwe Flat Lizard exist, P. p. pungweensis and P. p. blakei.
