Publius Aelius Ligus

Publius Aelius Ligus was a consul of the Roman Republic in 172 BCE, serving with fellow consul Gaius Popillius Laenas.[1] Aelius Ligus probably was praetor in 175 BCE.[2]

In 172 BCE, there was the first plebeian college of consuls. Both consuls were sent to Liguria.[3]
