Project Runway: Fashion Startup is an eight-episode American reality television series that premiers on October 20, 2016 on Lifetime. This is the ninth direct spin-off series of another series, Project Runway, which airs on the same network. On Fashion Startup, aspiring fashion and beauty entrepreneurs are given the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of investors. The panel includes Katia Beauchamp,[2] CEO and cofounder of Birchbox; Christine Hunsicker,[3] CEO and founder of Gwynnie Bee; Rebecca Minkoff,[4] successful fashion designer with a global lifestyle brand; and Gary Wassner,[5] CEO of Hilldun Corp. and chairman and cofounder of Interlude Holdings, companies that have provided financing for some of America’s and the world’s most iconic designer labels.,[1][6] The first entrepreneur to be announced to appear on the show was American singer, songwriter, actor and director Ryan Zamo. Zamo appeared on the show to pitch his organic skincare company ZskinCosmetics.Com.
