Professional Convention Management Association

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) is a non-profit professional organization, with members in 35 countries, for people involved in the operation of conventions.[1]

Founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, PCMA relocated from Birmingham, Alabama to its current headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, in 2000. PCMA has 17 chapters throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.[2]

PCMA's Convening Leaders convention, first held in 1956, draws thousands of meeting planners to a North American destination each January.[3][4]

Convene, PCMA’s monthly journal, includes a Web-based archive of articles from 1996.[5]
