Pitbull Studio was a video game developer based in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear in the United Kingdom, with additional UK offices in Guildford[2] and Leamington Spa.

History

Pitbull Studio was formed in July 2010, a year after the collapse of Midway Studios - Newcastle.[3] Initially working on motion tracking games for the health sector,[4] the studio later won a contract to develop Unreal Engine with Epic Games.[5] Pitbull helped develop a number of the engine’s features - rendering, audio, physics, visual scripting, UI, documentation tools, platform support and localization tools.[6]

In August 2014 Pitbull Studios became the core of a new developer, Epic Games UK founded by Epic Games.[1]
